We all have to make decisions every day and some we take in our stride but others seem to take us ages and we toss and turn to find the right answer. Whenever I find myself in this situation, whenever the decision is hidden behind an ever changing veil of emotions and thoughts, I remember the following: The ethical imperative of acting is such as the number of choices increases (Von Foerster, 1993). It immediately brings clarity and cuts through my own jungle of emotions and suddenly all becomes clear and a decision can be taken easily, if not always lightly.
